Christmas morning was beautiful. My most precious gift woke up in her crib smiling, and I couldn't wait until she opened her present from daddy! It was difficult this year due to our vacation, so I tried to get creative and make daddy's presents! I was able to buy him a Wu-Tang hoodie and T-Shirt, which I hope he cherishes.
I was super excited for Sophia to open up her present, custom made quilts that I ordered from Etsy. Hash tag, I wish I could sew. I honestly feel I could make my own clothes, not to mention quilts and other fun things like mittens with faces on them, if I only knew how to sew. My father sewed all of the curtains in my childhood home. If only he was here to share some of the domestic aptitude.
We rang in Sophia Penelope's first New Year's with some creative activities including dancing in our disco party, writing letters to store in a time capsule, baking cupcakes, indulging in Tostitos and Salsa, and taking some photos amongst playing with balloons. Sophia was a bit tired and overstimulated after the festivus for the rest of us, but I'd like to envision that we'll look back on the eve fondly.
